TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 :- ARRIVE DELHI

Assistance on arrival at the airport in Delhi by our representative and transfer to the hotel. Late afternoon meeting with the Chef, who would brief you on Indian Cuisine. Later proceed to the local Market to buy Indian Spices. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 2 :- DELHI

Morning after breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi. Delhi – believed to have been founded by the Pandava brothers around 2nd or 3rd century B.C., is one of the oldest cities in India . The city has been raised out of ashes and ruins seven times. Be it the Tomars of the 7-8th century or the Ghori’s, The Khaljis, the Tughlaqs, the Saiyads, The Lodis, the Mughuls and finally the British rulers, each has contributed to the colourful history of the city. Among some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour of Old and New Delhi are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area and the Government Buildings , a drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate, the Laxmi Narayan Temple , the Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutab Minar etc. Highlight of the days tour is we give you a cycle rickshaw ride on the narrow lines of the Chandni Chowk to show the life at the Old Delhi and take you to the Spice Market, fancy cloths, dry fruits market and also visit the “Parantha Wale Galli” (Indian clay oven baked bread). Evening attend a cooking demonstration of typical North Indian dinner by the Chef followed by enjoy eating the same in the dinner. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 3 :- DELHI/AGRA

Morning after breakfast, drive to Agra (203 kms) and on arrival check into the hotel. In the afternoon sightseeing tour of the Majestic Red Fort and the world famous eternal monument of love – Taj Mahal, made of lacy white Marble. Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar over the years 1565 – 1573 with its maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson Shah Jehan. The only surviving structure from Akbar’s period apart from the solid sand stone ramparts and the gateway is the Jehangir Mahal. It is the biggest private residence in the complex and its architecture indicates strong influences from Hindu overtones. Nearby are the various buildings, which were built by Shah Jehan, Including the Khas Mahal, The Jasmine Towers, the Octagonal Tower , the Sheesh Mahal, and the Hamam’s. Ironically it was within these apartments that Shah Jehan spent his last years when his son Aurangzeb imprisoned him. Taj Mahal , built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan, this beautiful mausoleum is built of pure white marble and is an architectural marvel. Built in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The building was conceived as a garden tomb with the mausoleum rising at the far end of the complex with the river Yamuna flowing below. Beneath the dome are the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jehan. Stay on at the Taj Mahal until the sunsets to have a magical view of the changing colours of the monument when the sunsets. In the evening there will be a meeting with a Chef of Typical Mughlai Cuisine, which is the speciality of Agra followed by Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.Early morning transfer to railway station to board an express train to Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel located on the beachside. Here we experience Ayurveda, an age-old healing system using peculiar combinations of medicinal herbs developed by great sages centuries ago. The Rejuvenation therapy which includes massages and Sirodhara by trained masseurs with medicated oil. This therapy is to rejuvenate mind, body and soul to tone up skin and strengthen body systems and achieve ideal health and longevity. These treatments are done only after consultation with Ayurvedic physician in the hotel. Monsoon period is considered the best season for Rejuvenation therapy, as the temperature is cool and atmosphere is dust free. Forenoon session: – General body massage with medicated bath and medicated steam bath. Afternoon session: – Shirodhara and Vet ever scrub bath. Rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 4 :- AGRA-FATEHPUR SIKRI-DEEG-JAIPUR

Morning drive to Jaipur (250 kms/7 hours approx) en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri – the abandoned capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar (an hour drive from Agra ). Later drive on to Deeg, an 18 th century stronghold, whose massive fortifications are surrounded by luxuriant gardens, woods and pools. It is renowned for its palaces surrounded by gardens, tanks and fountains of artificially coloured water. See the richly carved colums, cornices and eaves of the palaces, Gopal Bhavan, contains a marble swing which was carried off from Oudh to Deeg by a Jat warrior. Continue your drive onto Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 5 :- JAIPUR

Morning at 0800 hrs excursion to Amber Fort, which is located just outside the city. The highlight of the day is a trip on gaily-decorated elephant to accent the fort – reminding one the bygone era. Lunch at a typical Rajasthani Theme Restaurant which also has a Turban Museum, and here part of the Indian menu will be served to you & the rest of the Indian traditional dishes & breads would be prepared in front of your table & served direct from the frying pans. The chef will COOK the traditional Rajputani addressing you the traditional ways of cooking, and also about the description of curry powders used in the cooking. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur city visiting the City Palace, the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), and drive around the Pink City. Evening you could take an optional visit the colourful bazaars of Jaipur, which is one of the biggest centres of handicrafts and precious and semi precious stones in the country. Evening proceed to a typical Rajasthani Village Resort to experience the rich warmth and rustic charm of a typical Rajasthani Village at Chokhi Dhani. Spread over 10 acres of beautifully landscaped area for a rustic look, it is dotted with machaans & platforms where different folk artists perform concurrently. A village fair is created every evening as an ongoing celebration of the rich & vibrant cultural heritage of Rajasthan. The display of traditional huts and workmanship will take you back to the times when splendour was unpretentious. Followed by special Rajasthani thali sit-down dinner. Overnight in Jaipur Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 6 :- JAIPUR/DELHI

Morning after breakfast drive back to Delhi (265 kms/5 ½ hrs approx). Upon arrival you will be taken to the Chor Bizzarre Restaurant at the Broadway Hotel to experience a typical Indian Dinner, where the ambiance is provided in such way that non of the furniture at the restaurant are similar and are made of different items. Later departure transfer to the airport to board your flight back home. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 7 :- DEPART DELHI
